“I have learned how to compile an outstanding, and head turning CV and how to impress and leave an impression in an interview. The Speed Interview day resulted in me getting an apprenticeship.”
“Thanks for all of your hard work in preparing us to set up our businesses, it has been life changing and inspiring for me. I really am excited about putting all that I have learned into practice.”
After years of writing lyrics, I finally decided to get myself into the studio to do something productive with the talent I had been gifted. It initially started as a hobby, something to do to escape me from the sometimes apparent boringness of life. I decided to remix certain songs, one of which was Rihanna’s Rude Boy (called rude girl for obvious reasons), and once done, I passed this onto Jamie. I didn’t actually know Jamie that well, but what he did with my remixed song was remarkable. On a very hot Saturday morning, my friend had told me on Facebook that he had heard my song on radio, to my amazement. After tracing who could have got it to the station, I realised it was Jamie. This was just the start. Through his entrepreneurialism, heart and dedication to ‘believing and achieving’, I’m now in contact with producers who work with established artists such as Skepta, Ghetts, Devlin and Marvel to name a few, and this all came from Jamie’s doing. He’s a testament to believing in a dream and also my potential success.’ Believe it and achieve it.’

During summer 2010, I was completely clueless about my future. The path was unclear and there were no real goals to go out and grab, also the lack of opportunities! I got in contact with Jamie through Facebook (simple eh?) and so I arranged a meeting as I liked his work which was posted on his website. His course opened a new dimension of vision for me. Regular meetings with Jamie unlocked my ability in sales, as I am now the 8th best salesman in my region at phones4u, a meteoric rise from 131. Jamie doesn’t teach you how to make money, he teaches you how to become one step better than you are and the methods he uses can be used however way you like, the main point is ‘if you make yourself mentally rich, the physicals come with it’ I would recommend Jamie to anybody! I thoroughly enjoyed every second.

Trident Reach the People Charity
Jamie is an inspirational young man who brings alive the concept of a speech. His rapport with the audience is heart-warming as is his passion and drive. His upbeat wit and sense of humour drives home his message of belief and ability. In just 15 minutes he captured the audience, which comprised of young, old, those with learning disabilities, mental ill health, homeless, refugees, survivors of domestic abuse a real diverse group – the feedback from whom was excellent. He is so versatile he has a message for all which is amazing in someone so young…

I was extremely impressed with Jamie’s speech and his responses to the question and answer session during our Enterprise Launch Day. His passion and enthusiasm to business and enterprise is to be envied.
His feedback to students was pitched just right and the students’ were extremely welcoming of his advice and really found they could relate to him.
Students have not stopped talking about him on returning to school and still refer to what he talked about in class discussions!
Jamie is very committed to helping others succeed. The advice and guidance he has provided our students with has been invaluable.

Royal Holloway Entrepreneurs
As members of the committee of Royal Holloway Entrepreneurs we had the pleasure to meet Jamie Dunn during Global Entrepreneurship Week at Royal Holloway. His speech caused a series of discussions between the attendants who were fascinated by the story about his incredible journey in the world of entrepreneurship. He demonstrated a tremendous amount of passion and dedication to what he does and through numerous examples about the obstacles he had faced, but has successfully overcome. His speech was very inspirational for each student in the room. Moreover, due to the fact that he provided us with facts about his own failure and the progress that it was followed by I believe that the most important lesson the students learned that day was that despite how insecure one may feel about making a big step forward such as launching their own venture it is essential to overcome that fear as soon as possible because only then they will be able to reveal completely their own strengths, work on their weaknesses and eventually create an enterprise that would yield the expected return.

“Jamie has a fantastic charisma that students could really relate too, they took on board the key tips and experiences he shared with them.Jamie gave some great advice to the students and shared with them his own techniques of writing their own vision and goals, he reiterated the importance of working hard but most importantly having the confidence and belief that they can achieve their goals.
Jamie has an excellent speaking style that engaged with the students, he had them eating out the palm of his hands. I would highly recommend Jamie as a guest speaker or to run workshops for both students and organisations looking to inspire and motivate staff. A very inspirational speaker.”

Jamie Dunn is a fantastic role model to our students. Not only is his entrepreneurial journey inspiring, but the high energy manner in which he delivers his talks and workshops makes them truly engaging. His recent workshop has kick-started enterprise activities in the college with students proactively seeking ways to get involved.

The Challenge Network
Jamie spoke and facilitated sessions at The Challenge Network’s “You’re Hired!” event, which aimed to raise the aspirations and skills of young people in Birmingham, in the wake of rising figures of Youth Unemployment. The “Ambition” session which Jamie ran for us helped over 100 young people during the day to identify their ambitions, the steps they could take to reach them, and helped them to realise the skills and potential that they already have. Both launching and closing the event, Jamie captured the attention of everyone in attendance and our young people came away inspired, excited and informed by Jamie’s enthusiasm and motivation.

“Jamie’s life experiences allowed him to offer a personal, and first-class insight into the world of entrepreneurship and pitching. His passion, drive and charisma fully engaged the audience, ensuring his workshop was informative, inspiring and enjoyable for all. He encouraged students to be bold and creative in the way that they pitch themselves and their ideas, and helped attendees realise the importance of building relationships in business. We received great feedback from attendees on Jamie’s qualities as an entrepreneur and public speaker.”

Future Faces
“Jamie is an inspirational entrepreneur that can instantly change the way the world is viewed. Jamie spoke to my Future Faces members, who are in the early stages of their careers, and gave them an insight in to his world as an entrepreneur. Jamie’s story resonated with members and his guidance and honest, raw-advice was a breath of fresh air. He is an excellent role model who showed that it’s not where you’ve come from, not what you look like, but what you can put your mind to. As a young person, it can be difficult to approach or deal with individuals at a senior level and Jamie took us back to basics and re-iterated that people, no matter who they are, are just people. A truly inspirational speaker, with a cheeky twist, I would have no hesitation in recommending Jamie.”

NACUE Enterprise Conference
“I first heard Jamie Dunn speak at the Student Enterprise Conference in February 2013. I’d already been told great things about Jamie and I was keen to see if he would live up to expectations, which I am happy to say that he exceeded. Jamie is a very inspirational speaker with an honest and open life story. He is an astute businessman, investor in young people and to be honest an all round nice guy. I have since invited Jamie to the College to speak to students and it’s always a great pleasure to meet students in the corridors and hear them say that listening to Jamie has helped to change their lives. Jamie will undoubtedly go on to change to the world having a positive impact on all those whom he engages.”

“As a successful young entrepreneur, Jamie seemed like the perfect choice to speak at our annual awards ceremony and we were thrilled when he agreed to do so. Jamie engaged an audience of young people, tutors and parents with ease as he shared his story in a straight-talking and witty manner. A true inspiration!”

I would like to express my personal thanks to Jamie Dunn, a talented young entrepreneur, a “Richard Branson” of his time. We greatly enjoyed Jamie’s participation as a speaker in the International Entrepreneurship Forum and the ICT conference co-organized with the International Finance Corporation. He proved an excellent moderator of the BEL.BIZ battle, Start-up pitch competition. Young Belarusian entrepreneurs will never forget an insightful session given by Jamie, and his excellent exposure to people. His positive spirit and world-class motivation and engagement have encouraged many Belarusian start-ups to think global.

MIT Global Start-up Workshop
Jamie´s presentation at MIT Global Start-up Workshop 2013 in Tallinn was among one of the best inspiring speeches of the event. His story and his experience of being a young and successful entrepreneur forced the audience to think out of box and value the people you have, as they are your way to the higher level. His statement “Education helps you to get through the life, self-education makes you rich” is something that just makes sense in todays constantly globalizing and increasingly networked world. If you want to achieve something – act. So Crack on!

We supported Jamie’s visit to Minsk, Belarus to take part in Global Entrepreneurship Week. Jamie spoke on 2 panels on international growth and entrepreneurship eco-systems. Jamie then led a workshop to an invited audience of entrepreneurs and investors in an informal venue.
I found Jamie a very engaging speaker, a good listener and very approachable. Jamie sees entrepreneurship in the 21st century as not just about designing the latest IT software. He focuses on the current country infrastructure and market, and then developing the skills you need to be an entrepreneur: having an idea; checking it is viable for the market; choosing the right people; and not being afraid to fail. I would recommend Jamie to anybody who is looking to work with a charismatic and forward-thinking entrepreneur.

Birmingham Future
As a public speaker, Jamie excelled – delivering both an entertaining and insightful look at the problems facing youth engagement with business. However, rather than just leaving at that, he also provided ideas and a call to action. As the headline speaker at the Birmingham Future End of Year Dinner at which I stepped down as Chair, I was delighted that we had such a high calibre speaker in Jamie.

The Mighty Creatives
Jamie Dunn delivered an inspirational presentation and goal setting workshop for a group of eight “NEET” young people for The Mighty Creatives’ (TMC) Ideas Generation social enterprise training programme.
Jamie talked to the young people about his personal journey and how he managed to stay motivated despite the challenges he faced. His message was that if he could do it, so could the young people in the room. The energy and tenacity needed to become a successful entrepreneur he likened to skills needed to deal drugs; why bother putting all your energies into illegal and dangerous activities when you could be legal and successful?
Jamie then taught the group how to “eat and elephant” which was a way to get them to break down the skills, qualities and qualifications necessary to get them from where they are now to where they ideally want to be.
Jamie was honest, open, accessible and friendly with the young people, whilst also approaching the session professionally in terms of the materials he prepared and brought with him.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Jamie as an inspirational speaker and mentor to young people, particularly those who are struggling to find their way.

Jamie told the group his own inspirational story and then set them a group exercise; goal-setting, breaking tasks down and thinking about their futures. Jamie’s energy, enthusiasm and success were a real inspiration to the group and they instantly warmed to him. His invitation to keep in touch has already been taken up by some of the group and the lucky student who received a free copy of Jamie’s book was inspired to contact him that same evening.
Comments from the students included ‘He makes me feel I could do anything’, ‘I’ve learned more today than I did at school’, ‘He says the things I think’, ‘He’s great’, ‘He really is inspirational’ and, from several students, ‘I want to be him’!
